ETHAN'S EASTER

Ethan learned the story behind Easter this morning, then discovered the fun that goes along with it. He found a basket in the living room with some new toys and candy...

Then also found a few eggs hidden in the living room with new cars in them...

And also received great presents from his grandparents, including a life-sized Elmo and some funds for his piggy bank (which still has Korean Won in it!).

ETHAN AT THE FAIR

Yep, Ethan definitely enjoyed the fair. He got to ride the carousel and smiled to mom for the picture. He also found an Elmo shirt he loved. He almost rode the bumper cars, too...but the excitement seemed a bit much for him, so he and dad had to bow out.

ETHAN AT THE AIRSHOW

Ethan enjoyed spending time at the airshow here in Yuma last weekend. He got to sit in a couple helicopters, toured a plane and watched some amazing tricks. He loves helicopters and airplanes.

BAPPLE

That's right...it's not an apple, it's a Bapple...I don't know where the "B" came from, but it's there for now. He also says Babby for the Sesame Street character Abby Cadabby. We're working on it.

QUITE A LOAD

Ethan cashed in for his birthday with all kinds of cool stuff...now if we only had room for everything.

CAKE!

Can't have a birthday without cake - and Ethan enjoyed his.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ETHAN

Ethan turned two in January...he enjoyed a happy meal and a homemade-baked cake by mom.

PRESENTS!!!!

It took a while for Ethan to get the concept of opening the all the presents, then playing with them after they were all open, but he got the hang of it.

Ethan especially liked the Sesame Street telephone, the Sesame Street keyboard, and the Elmo lap top.

There was not shortage of Christmas gifts in the Shappell family household this year...and the peace of the season gripped Bear and Boots as they were able to pose for a picture together.

CHRISTMAS BREAKFAST

Christmas morning started out normal enough for Ethan. It was like any other morning. Little did he know it was about to get a whole lot different...and pretty cool.
