THANKSGIVING

Ethan got to hang out with his friend Hailey Farrell (6-months-old) during Thanksgiving. SSG Robert Carle is holding Hailey, while our friend Steve is hanging with Ethan.

Fortunately the camera was in my hand, but Ethan found the case quite interesting!

PLAY DAY

Ethan usually gets the run of the house after a long day at daycare. Amazingly, he still has some energy when he gets home.

Sometimes you wonder what Ethan is up to... Then he gives you the Shappell smirk, and you REALLY wonder what he's up to.

FOOTBALL

Ethan's working on his ball handling skills. We're always told how big his hands are. Our friends the Thorntons call him Bam-Bam referencing the Flinstones character.

ETHAN AND THE CABINET

Ethan tried daddy's hat on one day. It seemed to fit him almost as well as it fit daddy. Then he proceeded to play.

He really enjoys when mommy and daddy leave the cabinet door or the refridgerator door open. He likes to see what he can raid and take.

He especially likes bottles. Here, you an see he's targeting dad's Gatorade. When the refridgerator is open, he likes to target beer...interesting, eh?

READY TO GO OUT

Ethan's got his Old Navy sweatshirt on as he gets ready to go out, but he stopped for a close up.

VROOOM!

Ethan really likes his truck. No matter how much we tell him he should play with it on the floor, he seems to think it's better on the table.

JUST FOR NANNY

Nana got Ethan this great book with music that plays. He loves it. He really thinks it tastes pretty good. And I think we all know how much nana likes it when people have things in their mouth.

KNOCKED OUT

Ethan gets so exhausted from all his activities sometimes he just passes out on the sofa.

HURRICANE ETHAN

I'm not sure what the name due for "E" this year is, but if it's not Ethan, it should be. He seems to leave a path of destruction in his wake, whether it be shoes, an umbrella, the door stop, or the floor mat.

ETHAN THE EXPLORER

Ethan likes to explore the house and conquer different objects. On today's agenda: his highchair.

HI

Yep, blue eyes. The socks are Mickey Mouse socks, a present from daycare.

WALKING TIME

Ethan can take steps by himself. We've seen it. But he's still a little scared, so the assisted walk is currently his favorite walking event.

CHANGING TIME

When Ethan gets changed, we usually put him in his crib. He likes to stand up and take an active part in choosing his outfit. He'll often pull two or three different outfits out of the drawers when mom and dad aren't looking.

DINNER TIME

Ethan does OK in his highchair. He really likes finger food because he can do it himself. He also loves juice.

BATH TIME

Ethan's favorite time, by far, is bath time. He loves playing in the tub, even if he's not sitting at it.
