NAP TIME UNDER THE TREE

Against dad's advice, Ethan pulled down a Christmas present from under the tree, and put a pillow down to take a nap...wherever the mood strikes him, I guess.

TWO COOL DUDES

Ethan and JR took time out of their busy schedule to pose for mom...Isn't Ethan becoming quite the little ham, smiling for the camera all the time.

SANTA ETHAN

Yes, I know it's blurry...deal. Ethan got dress as Santa and he showed some love for Dad after his excellent performance and jingling some bells on stage.

BAD PARENTS

Child? Check.
Dinner for everyone? Check.
To the Auditorium before 7 p.m.? Check.
Camera...Doh!
Yes, we forgot our camera...so sue us. But because of our brain-fart, you are left with phone-camera pics from Ethan's Day Care's Christmas pageant this week. Our bad.

THE MODEL

Ethan's got quite the little smile going...
And he can take the "not-so-teethy" approach smile, too...

And the calm, casual smile approach...

And the "I think it's time to go" fingerpoint approach, when he's had enough.

FUTURE STAR?

As you can see, Ethan's taken quite an interest in football...and soccer...and baseball...
Here he's getting the ball handling skills down.

BIG GUY

Ethan went in to get professional photos done at the local JC Penny. He did a very good job sitting and smiling for these photos.

LOVING MOMMY

Ethan and mommy have gotten to spend a lot of time together since we arrived here in Yuma, and he loves that time together.
He also loves to get in close for a big, wonderful kiss.

ZOO LIFE

Ethan really enjoyed the San Diego Zoo. While these weren't real elephants, he liked being able to get up close and personal.

HUG

Ethan even got to give Elmo a big hug!

ELMO AND BIG BIRD

During dad's first trip to San Diego for his first reserve drill weekend, mom and Ethan took to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. While at Sea World, Ethan got to meet Elmo and Big Bird. Dad's a little jealous, because at not only 2-years-old, Ethan has met some of his idols, and dad still hasn't been able to do that. It's worth noting he may have sprained his neck, looking all the way up at Big Bird (kidding, of course).

LUNCH!

Dad took the sneak approach to catch Ethan in the eating act...

And he took umbrage at first...
But he got over it and gave us a big smile!

'BAMA-WEAR

Ethan's sporting the Alabama duds Aunt Mary, Uncle Jack, and cousins Rebecca and Mikayla got him last year...
Against Dad's better judgment.

I BELIEVE THE WORD "HAM" IS APPROPRIATE HERE

Ethan's not camera shy...
And I believe...

He gets this...

From his Godmother, Aunt DJ.

BALL PLAY

Ethan likes to throw balls, and he's actually developing quite a little arm.
Sometimes he looks a little devlish as he approaches you with a ball.

When it's all said and done, he likes to stop for a juice break with Elmo.

HOME (5)

As you can see, the pool and spa look wonderful...don't let it fool you. We're having some problems with the filter right now and haven't been in for weeks. Hopefully we will get that fixed...soon.
As you can see, much to the delight of the grandparents, the pool is closed off from the rest of the outside by a fence, so Ethan can't go in without parental supervision.
As mentioned, one of Ethan's favorite parts of his new home, the swing set. At least twice a day he asks to "Shwing." Close enough, eh?
Just rounding out, this is the rest of our backyard.

HOME (4)

This is the front of the house...
Ethan's showing off the front lawn...as well as his cookie monster slippers...
See how well he navigates the sidewalk leading to the front door, dodging the Cacti in the meantime.

HOME (3)

This shot leads you through the bathroom attached to the master bedroom and to the walk-in closet therein.

HOME (2)

Continuing our virtual tour, we have a couple of shots of our kitchen/dining area and of the master bedroom (still under "construction").
